YOUR DATA

Privacy and local progress.

A practical explanation of what the current version does.

Saved progress

My Money Shelf and some activities save data in your own browser using local storage. No account is required. Clearing browser data may delete saved progress. You can export a Shelf backup using its tools.

Reader submissions

Reader forms send the details you choose to submit to Mintmere’s private Cloudflare D1 database for review by Boring Money Guy. Confessions and Money Court do not require an email address; experiment applications request one so we can contact you. Cloudflare processes requests to operate the site. A short-lived hashed request identifier is used to limit repeated submissions; it is not attached to your stored story. Submission data is separate from the financial tools’ on-device data. Please don’t include sensitive personal or financial details.
